In addition to the wine tastings the estate hosts throughout the year, there are also hundreds of wineries to visit nearby. Faugeres, the Corbieres, the Minervois, Picpoul de Pinet, La Clape and the Terrasses du Larzac are all only a short drive away.
Day Trips to Narbonne, Beziers, or Montpellier
Narbonne (30 mins away), is a small city on the Canal de la Robine, and is great place to visit for a few hours. Les Halles, a large market, offers lots of delicious foods to try, as well as a few bars to sit in for a drink. The small city is also famous for its unfinished cathedral, the Cathédrale Saint-Just-et-Saint-Pasteur – only its choir was ever built, and still towers above the city today.
Slightly larger than Narbonne, Beziers (30 mins away) is one of the oldest towns in France, and has been inhabited since at least 575 BCE. Every year, it hosts a bullfighting festival in mid-August with lots of street food stalls and live music. It’s also known for its impressive 13th-century cathedral, sitting on a steep rock face over the city.
Languedoc’s biggest city, Montpellier (1 hour 15 mins away) is the region’s cultural hub, and is a great place for museums, cafes, bars, and shopping. There are also lots of family-friendly activities, including ice skating, bowling, or visiting the aquarium.
