Kids Club
Play by COMO is an entertainment programme for children aged 4 to 12 with
carefully selected toys, books, games, and art materials that encourage purposeful
and creative play. The play area is open daily between 9.00 am and 6.00 pm. Babies and toddlers under the age of 4 must always be accompanied by a babysitter or parent. The entertainment programme was developed by a team of experts specialising in early childhood education and special needs to ensure that all children can learn new skills through play. For example, they can learn about the local culture by making shadow theatre figures and discovering Balinese fruits and temples. The children learn about sustainability during the "beach clean-up" or when making things with recycled materials.
Splash Time
The hotel features 2 different pools to relax and cool off. The beach is also ideal for little swimmers to play by the water.
Surf
Turtle Club: This is Play by COMO is special programme for children aged 6 to 12 to learn how to surf. Each lesson includes an interactive ocean awareness session inthe classroom, where children learn about safety and the physics of surfing, and a pool session where they learn the basic techniques - along with lots of fun and
games. These sessions are charged separately.

COMO Shambhala Retreat in Canggu is a beachfront oasis offering respite from sun-soaked days. On offer are Asian-inspired therapies, one of the largest fitness centres in the area and a daily programme of wellness activities. The resort works with luxury surfing equipment supplier Tropicsurf to help you develop your surfing expertise. Archery can be learned at the Beach Club.

Take part in a traditional Balinese purification ceremony at the 1000-year-old Tirta Empul temple in the north-east of Ubud. Just steps away from the Ayung River, which meanders through the COMO Shambhala Estate, is an ancient spring that locals believe to be sacred. A purification ceremony at the spring is led by a local priest who follows Balinese traditions with chants, offerings and a ritual cleansing. The blessing is intended to purify the spirit. A wonderful way to start your holiday - and a journey of self-reflection complemented by daily yoga and guided meditation.
Sightseeing
Take a trip to the majestic Tanah Lot sea temple, which was built by a priest who
(according to legend) asked a poisonous sea serpent to guard it. Or join the Keliki
village walk: Look out for the local children in the village of Keliki on their way to
school and the farmers collecting grass for their cattle. This excursion can be
combined with the traditional market visit and last the whole morning.
Hiking Mount Batur sunrise hike: Climbing Mount Batur, Bali´s second highest mountain, atdawn is a wonderful way to get away from it all. A simple breakfast cooked over volcanic steam and a soothing soak in a natural hot spring complete the feeling of a fresh start filled with simple resolutions.
Biking
Bike tour on Mount Batur to Sebali village: This tour takes you to the rim of the
spectacular crater of Mount Batur, from where you can ride downhill almost to the
village of Sebali. A few short, steep climbs at the end of the tour should not put you
off; it is ridden at a leisurely pace.
Trekking and canoe tour
Explore the beautiful flora and fauna of the indigenous rainforest, surrounded by the high peaks of Bali´s sacred mountains. A local guide will take you on an informative journey and explain how the natural world merges with the spiritual world and show you sacred temples built by Hindu and Buddhist missionaries in the midst of the green landscape.
