Tucked on a beautiful stretch of coast in the Algarve region of Portugal, the Algarvian Boutique Hotel is surrounded by peaceful pine forests that make it the perfect place for a secluded family getaway.

The hotel is located on the Eastern edge of the Algarve, and is proud of the region’s rich traditions. They offer lots of ways to discover the area, including an outing with Nuno the shepherd, a motorcycle or biking tour, bird watching, horseback riding, water sports, an oyster tasting, and lots more. Kids love spending an afternoon at a nearby farm, visiting a nearby golf course for a family golf day, or eating a picnic amongst the pine trees surrounding the hotel.

The Kids Club organises activities for children aged 4-13 from the beginning of April. These activities range from treasure hunts, archery sessions, painting, styling t-shirts and cooking.

The hotel’s top-notch restaurant specialises in cooking fresh, local products. Many of the vegetables come directly from the hotel’s garden and from regional farmers and fishermen who the hotel has worked with every day for years. The restaurant’s wood-fired oven brings out the strong flavours and aromas of each delicious dish.

The Area

Castro Marim is located in Eastern Algarve right by the Guadiana River, the natural border between Portugal and Spain. Nearby Vila Real de Santo António is a great place for a day trip and offers lots to do, including taking a scenic boat tour across the river to Spain. Nearby coastal villages Altura, Monte Gordo and Cacela Velha are also worth a visit.
