Castelldefels Playground with The Little Voyager

Child-friendly things to do in Castelldefels

If you live in the area or are simply visiting Castelldefels with your kids, here are some great tips about child friendly activities, what to do and where to go:

Biblioteca de la Playa Carme Romani

Biblioteca de la Playa Carme Roman is first up on ournchild friendly activities. The main library in town is great and has interesting workshops for adults and kids. This beach location of the library is only open in July and August afternoons. It is right by the beach in a shaded park area with sea breeze and tables outside. You can check books out and also board games/toys. They organize some weekly craft events/book readings at the library beach location.

Parc de La Granota

Very shaded and high up behind the Castell of Castelldefels, perfect in summer. You have to park and walk into a fenced-in area, there are many levels of this park and even a small pond. Two great playgrounds. You aren’t on the street so the kids can run wild. There is also a little water spout so beware take a change of clothes. Look at the photos. It is hard to describe.

Mar de pins

This is technically in Gava. Great outside play space for kids. There is a Cafe/Restaurant for parents. Enclosed so parents can relax. A shaded forest which is so ideal for summer. Bounce house and also a small ropes course. Just be careful you aren’t there at the same time as a few birthday parties, it can get very full in the afternoons.

Canal Olimpic de Catalunya

This is a good place to go with bikes, scooters and strollers. There is a track that runs around the canal. You can also go without a membership for other child friendly activities and just rent kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, etc. There is a wake cable park. By the wake cable park, there is a chill-out area with a park and a trampoline built into the ground for the kids.

La Casa de La Iaia

In town a kind of “ludoteca”, I wouldn’t really recommend it to go play on a day with great weather outside, but they do cool crafts/workshops for the kids.

Safari park

In town by Mercadona. Also like La Casa de La Iaia, I check their website occasionally for talleres as they do some nice things!

Jungla Park

There are two Jungla Park locations: one is outdoors and only open during summer months on the north part of Castelldefels bordering Gava. It has bounce houses with a sitting area for the parents. Very shaded and with canopies overhead.

Address: Passeig de la Tramuntana, 1, 08860 Castelldefels, Barcelona

The indoor Jungle Park is in Gava: C/ Oficios, 1 (08850) Gavá (Barcelona)
