The South Tyrolean Panorama Retreat is a 4-star hotel that was inaugurated in 2018 with a very specific goal in mind: creating an environment where families can enjoy their holiday together, share activities and create lifelong memories. The room keys are shaped like wooden wrist watches, and are inscribed with the bold claim “I have got time,” reminding parents to wind down and enjoy their holiday with their family. This is the central idea of the hotel’s philosophy: children grow up too fast, and parents should enjoy their time with them as much as they can.
And this is not a difficult task at this property, where there are always new family-friendly indoor and outdoor activities to discover. Parents can work on projects with their children at the hotel’s workshop and try their hand at woodworking, painting and engraving. Indoor options also include a fancy dress area for creative role-play and cooking classes in the hotel’s kitchen.
The large outdoor areas include a playground with a sandpit, a Hobbit house and a tree hut. Another highlight is the petting zoo, where children can meet rabbits, sheep, cows, horses and donkeys, as well as friendly cats and dogs – all of which enjoy being pet and fed by children and adults alike.
The water and sauna area include a family bio-sauna, a splash pool, a children’s pool for diving and swimming lessons, an infinity indoor/outdoor pool and a water slide.
The beautiful landscapes surrounding the hotel can be enjoyed all year around. In summer, there are many family-friendly hiking, cycling and mountain biking paths around the hotel – bikes and cycling equipment can be rented nearby. And in winter, guests can go skiing, snowshoe hiking, ice-skating or sledding.
For the second time this year, the world is holding its breath as everything has changed again within a very short time. But if there is one thing we have learned during this pandemic, it’s how important it is to slow down and to enjoy the important role nature plays in our lives. And, if you have young children like me, how crucial it is to find some well-deserved “alone time”.

Our Reviews
Fabienne stayed at the South Tyrolean Panorama Retreat with her familiy in October 2020: "Perfect service of Ilonka!! We were searching pretty short notice and the property we first chose was already fully booked. Ilonka quickly came up with several great alternatives and we opted for the new South Tyrolean Panorama Hotel and it was just perfect! Great location, amazing food and staff plus a top infrastructure ideal for families who like to spend active time together. We will surely go again and also ask Ilonka for travel advices again next time :) Thank you, Ilonka!"
Claire stayed at the South Tyrolean Panorama Retreat with her familiy in July 2021: "We have just returned from the South Tyrolean Panorama retreat in Italy. The hotel was everything we had expected and more. All the little touches that make things so much easier with a little one. We particularly liked the daily guide on our breakfast table with things to do and borrowing the all-terrain pushchair so we could really get out and about. Travel is tricky right now with all the COVID requirements for testing but the team at the Little Voyager and the hotel were super helpful making sure that we could get everything sorted out."
