The South Tyrolean Panorama Retreat is a 4-star hotel that was inaugurated in 2018 with a very specific goal in mind: creating an environment where families can enjoy their holiday together, share activities and create lifelong memories. The room keys are shaped like wooden wrist watches, and are inscribed with the bold claim “I have got time,” reminding parents to wind down and enjoy their holiday with their family. This is the central idea of the hotel’s philosophy: children grow up too fast, and parents should enjoy their time with them as much as they can.
And this is not a difficult task at this property, where there are always new family-friendly indoor and outdoor activities to discover. Parents can work on projects with their children at the hotel’s workshop and try their hand at woodworking, painting and engraving. Indoor options also include a fancy dress area for creative role-play and cooking classes in the hotel’s kitchen.
The large outdoor areas include a playground with a sandpit, a Hobbit house and a tree hut. Another highlight is the petting zoo, where children can meet rabbits, sheep, cows, horses and donkeys, as well as friendly cats and dogs – all of which enjoy being pet and fed by children and adults alike.
The water and sauna area include a family bio-sauna, a splash pool, a children’s pool for diving and swimming lessons, an infinity indoor/outdoor pool and a water slide.
The beautiful landscapes surrounding the hotel can be enjoyed all year around. In summer, there are many family-friendly hiking, cycling and mountain biking paths around the hotel - bikes and cycling equipment can be rented nearby. And in winter, guests can go skiing, snowshoe hiking, ice-skating or sledding.
