Talking Family Travel: The Little Voyager on the How To Fly Podcast

I’m thrilled to share that I was recently a guest on Barbara Wukovits’ podcast, How to Fly.

Barbara and I first met many years ago at a wedding in Barcelona, and we became friends shortly afterwards. We eventually lost touch when she moved back to Austria, her home country. Then we reconnected about three years ago when she became a mother.

Women – new beginnings – change

The podcast How to Fly is a project very close to Barbara’s heart. It emerged from her own personal process of change after her son was born. She wanted to understand where this deep and rather unexpected desire for something new in her life had come from. Through conversations with other women, she realised that she was far from being the only one who felt this way. She heard so many inspiring and motivating stories about new beginnings and life changes. This inspired her to create a podcast about them.

In the episode we recorded together, we talk about how to achieve stress-free family holidays. As well as why I decided to leap into self-employment. We discuss the role that my experience of motherhood played in that choice, and how I managed it all alongside raising my children.

We explore topics like leadership styles, teamwork, and mutual support. We discuss collaboration between women—the benefits as well as the challenging dynamics that can sometimes emerge.

The recording was done in German, but we also have an English transcript available here: https://tinyurl.com/lvoyager-howtofly

We hope these conversations inspire you to spread your wings and shape your life as independently and intentionally as possible!
