Great family concert at L’Auditori: PICA-SO!

For those who stay in Barcelona and have no plans with their kids right after Christmas, there is a beautiful musical event taking place at L’Auditori on Thursday 28th and Friday 29th of December at 12pm.

This great venue offers a yearly programme of up to 20 different productions for families with children of all ages with around 150 concerts throughout the year, hoping to stimulate the interest in the magic of music through creating special musical events that are carefully prepared by a group of educators, composers, musicians, choreographers and stage directors.

“The Little Magic Flute” for kids at Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona

Last year, right after Christmas, we went to see Mozart’s famous opera ‘The Little Magic Flute’ adapted for kids at the Liceu in Barcelona with our 4-year-old son. We all enjoyed it very much and had explained the story to him beforehand so he was very excited to go.

If you have not been to the famous Liceu opera house it is a classic and beautiful venue and very impressive for little people (and adults) so just going there is already an event.

English theatre play for kids at El Cau in Barcelona next Sunday

On Sundays it is always theatre (or kids activity) time at El Cau and in the past year my family has spent many Sunday mornings at this lovely space which has been designed with family fun in mind. Theatre plays are usually performed in Catalan language so it is my pleasure to announce that next Sunday on November 26th there will be a great theatre play offered in English language for the first time.

#1000raons, a great family event for a good cause next Saturday in Barcelona

Next Saturday, November 18th, there will be another great family event #1000raons for a good cause next Saturday in Barcelona. This one is organised by the Front Marítim Barceloneta association and the Hospital Del Mar to raise funds for Breast Cancer Research.

There will be many fun activities offered such as yoga for kids, skating, arts & crafts, storytelling, face painting, dance activities, family games, magical shows, archery and much more.

Béa Beste, founder of Tollabea calls herself an “edupreneur”, a “mom” and an “eternal child”. Her family blog is widely known in Germany.

She has an impressive curriculum and already managed many interesting projects, for instance she founded several bilingual schools across Germany so she certainly is an expert when it comes to child education.

Next to her, she has great female writing support and one of them is her own daughter Carina.

Last Sunday we went to the Parc de Torreblanca a great place to visit with kids just 15 minutes outside of Barcelona in Sant Joan Despí. On Sundays there is a little Farmers Market where you can buy fresh local products, mostly fruits and vegetables and not too far from the market are often creative activities organised for families with small children.
