Catching up with friends isn’t always easy when you have small children and neither is star gazing. I was, therefore, very pleased when I discovered this wonderful Catalan Farmhouse in the Alt Empordà region. It’s not too far from Barcelona, can sleep up to 16 people and is ideal for a short or long stay with family or friends.
At the beginning of the month, we asked some of our closest friends to join us on a weekend trip with their kids and stay with us at this centuries-old farmhouse. That way we could all enjoy some quality time together.
This beautiful property has plenty of space both to get together and also to find a quiet spot, whether indoors or outdoors. The kids loved the playroom with its games, art supplies and books. The adults enjoyed playing pool in the billiard room and we were all able to eat meals together on the beautiful terrace.
Outside, there’s a good size garden with lawn, various trees and a children’s swing. For the more adventurous a hammock and for relaxing a sun terrace. A table tennis table for the more energetic. When night falls, you can use a telescope to look at the stars on the beautiful roof terrace!
