Some of Britain’s most beautiful south coast beaches are only a 10-minute drive away from the Sussex Cottages and the seaside city of Brighton and Hove is approximately 25 minutes away.

Nearby Shoreham-by-Sea also has lots of water sports options like canoeing, paddle boarding, sailing, and kayaking.

Drusillas Park

This small zoo and activity park is a great spot for a family outing. Kids can watch zookeepers feed the red pandas and hundreds of other animals, explore the play areas, and go on some of the park’s many rides.

Fishers Adventure Farm Park

This adventure farm is a great outing for kids of all ages. Their indoor play area is perfect for rainy days, and their outdoor activities include a splash area, a tractor and trailer ride, a “toddler village” play area for younger guests, and of course seeing lots of farm animals.

Washbrook Family Farm

This family farm has lots of animals for kids to meet, as well as 2 acres of outdoor adventure area that includes a zip-wire, sandpit and trampolines. It also has a great indoor play area for toddlers and young children.
