Costa del Sol, Spain

Costa del Sol, Spain

Things to do - general

The Costa del Sol (Sun Coast in Spanish) stretches from Almeria to Tarifa, with miles and miles of sunny beaches and a mix of small Andalusian towns, glitzy cities and peaceful beach resorts. Costa del Sol is also known for its many world-class golf courses, to the point where some have even call it the “Costa del Golf.”

Families will love the area’s many theme parks and water parks, including the Bahía Aquapark and Tivoli World, as well as the many beaches along the coast and national parks further inland.

The region’s cuisine is famously influenced by Spanish, Arabic, and Jewish traditions. Gazpacho, the coast’s signature cold tomato soup, is now popular treat around Spain all summer long, and many restaurants offer fresh-caught seafood.
