Most of my childhood memories come from our long summer holidays which we spent with my family in Italy. I vividly remember the smell of basil and pine trees, eating tons of gelato with my dad and being surrounded by very friendly Italians who made us feel at home.
When we travelled at the end of last year to Puglia, a region of Italy I had heard so much about, I immediately fell in love with the fairytale-like round stone houses with conical roofs – the so-called “trulli” – and the beautiful nature that characterises the area. Seeing my kids interact with the locals reminded me of my childhood and made me wish to come back for more some day soon!
On our trip, we visited several child-friendly properties in Puglia, and I am happy to share our three latest additions; Borgo Egnazia, The Apulian Twin Villas, and The Apulian Design Apartments.
First of all Borgo Egnazia, a unique luxury family resort about one hour drive from Bari and Brindisi airport. The property is a perfect recreation of an Italian village with rustic charm and wonderful facilities for kids and adults.
The Apulian Twin Villas: A lovely family friendly “trullo” and villa which can be rented together or apart, with a small playground for kids, fenced swimming pool, toys & games, and real style for the grown-ups!
And last but not least The Apulian Design Apartments, an old and charming mansion house converted into several self-catering apartment studios, all with different designs and layouts, located in the middle of endless green fields, surrounded by olive trees and very close to some beautiful beaches.
These properties are very popular, but they still have availability for some weeks throughout the year. If you always wanted to visit Puglia and are looking for a unique place in nature with the kids, these all could be a great option for a family holiday. Just contact me and I will be happy to send you more details about all three properties, which are all online now.
Wishing you all a wonderful Easter break!
