Last year in November we visited with our kids the first edition of “El Petit Festivalet” (which translates as “The little festival”). I really enjoyed discovering new children brands and my son joined two workshops that were really fun for kids.
This year the innovative festival will take place on November 3rd and 4th at Disseny Hub Barcelona. This exciting fair originates from the bigger and already well-known independent craft fair “El Festivalet”, which offers handmade and manufactured products on a small scale every December at the Maritime Museum in Barcelona.
El Petit Festivalet promotes handmade and local products for kids offered by several exhibitors. Just like last year there will be a gastronomical area and they will run very interesting workshops for children organised by great places such as “Palau de la Musica”, “Ametller Origen”, “L´Áuditori”, “Teatre del Liceu” and others. Workshops are organised for kids age 4 and above and each session costs 3 Euros.
There are several sessions available for both days but tickets are limited so it makes sense to buy these in advance (please note before buying the tickets you need to sign up on their website).
There will also be a play area for children age 0-3 to keep the very little ones happy. My daughter loved the little play area from last year and I am sure they will set up again something really nice this year!
The entrance fee to the fair is 2 Euros and kids under the age of 12 enter for free. Tickets for the fair can be bought at the venue the day of the event. Timetable for Saturday is 11am – 8pm and on Sunday 11am – 7pm. The venue is located on Plaça de les Glòries, easily accessed by public transport.
