La Paloma, one of the most loved and child-friendly restaurants in Ibiza

La Paloma with The Little Voyager

I have been traveling to Ibiza since I was 16 years old, I got married there and now, years later I continue traveling with my kids and husband to this beautiful island.

Ibiza might not be the first place that comes to mind when thinking of suitable destinations with kids but it actually is very child-friendly if you know your way around.

There are many playgrounds, great beaches with shallow crystal clear water ideal for tiny people to dip in and restaurants that offer activities for kids or have a play corner.

When it comes to childproof accommodation it is not that easy to find villas with fenced swimming pools and baby gear but I keep looking and by the end of this month we are most likely going to be able to offer a great childproof villa.

Last week-end we went with the kids for lunch at La Paloma in Sant Llorenç, a little village in the north central area of Ibiza. This place is an island classic, the food is delicious and it is the perfect spot to bring the kids. You’ll find a sweet little playground in their garden next to beautiful citrus trees and there is also enough space to kick a ball.

The menu at lunchtime (“Paloma Café”) is more basic and offers a mixture of Mediterranean food with Middle-Eastern, Asian and North African ingredients, always freshly prepared with ingredients from their own garden.

At night the menu offers very tasty and unique, fresh Italian cuisine made by Chef Prasuna, you won’t be disappointed!

As they say themselves on their website, La Paloma is “a place to eat, talk and feel the love”!

Please note the restaurant gets very busy and during high season, it might be impossible to reserve a table, so make sure to book in advance.

On Saturdays, the wonderful Hippy market “Las Dalias” opens its doors and might be a great place to visit right before lunch at La Paloma. It is located in San Carlos not too far from Sant Llorenç.
