If you live in Sitges or like visiting Sitges as much as we do, a great new family club opened in December.
Sitges has always been a place we loved to visit with and without kids and often, we thought how nice it would be to live there. The list of nice things to do is long. Now there is definitely one more good reason to visit this lovely sea town with your little ones.
First Steps
Lola & Leon family club took its first steps a year ago, when Esther Amanda, a mom of four young children thought that there were no places around to go to as a family. Barcelona seemed to be too far away to take the children to enjoy inspiring activities and to meet other kids. She began to ask around. Realising that other parents felt the same way. So the mission was clear and she brought the best of Nordic aesthetics, lifestyle and education to Sitges and created a family club where everybody can have fun, learn and play.
On the opening day, there was free play all day from 11am until 7pm. Great activities were on offer such as Christmas-themed cooking, a Gingerbread decoration workshop, Creative storytelling in English and much more! Activities had limited places and soon filled up. The entrance fee per child was 5 Euros. Adults and kids under 2 enter for free.
Ongoing Activities
After the opening day, the club opened from Mondays to Saturdays, leaving Sundays for pre-booked birthday parties and other private events. Children were encouraged at the club to develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences. All set in a homelike environment. The time spent at Lola & Leon made children fall in love with sensory play. Allowing them to be creative using their own imagination.
