If you are looking for a great place to buy second hand toys and kids clothes look no further, the German School in Esplugues is opening its doors again for the 31st edition of its flea market next Saturday on October 6th.
The flea market takes place twice a year where one can find everything from second hand clothes for babies & toddlers (some adult clothes as well), books and all kinds of toys for children and few other things. Usually the quality of the items offered is really good and prices are pretty reasonable.
The official opening time is 11am until 3pm but if you have been there you know that the good stuff gets already sold out much earlier and quite some people show up already around 9am when the first vendors start selling their goods.
Usually it is better not to bring the kids as it gets really crowded, but this time they are offering kids activites such as hip-hop dance and face painting so it might be fun to bring the kids along!
If you need a break, there is also a food section where visitors can enjoy a great Bavarian breakfast or other type of snacks and meet other parents.
Every time I go, I tend to spend around 40-50 Euros that are very well invested in lots of children books for my kids, few new toys, audio CDs and even outdoor play equipment such as little motorbikes. If you keep your eyes open I promise you will find what you are looking for.
Please note parking can be tricky, so again it makes sense to show up early or if you can better use public transport. There is a bus station right in front of the German School.
