Recently a friend of mine said she thought The Little Voyager only dealt with high end accommodation. I was surprised to hear this as I aim to keep a balance between different types of accommodation and price ranges.
Stylish and child-friendly does not have to be pricey. Our latest addition is a perfect example of this: a traditional farmhouse in northern Germany that has been tastefully renovated and converted into apartments. It offers families a genuine taste of farm life and kids can get up close to the sheep as their stables are located in the same building.
The grounds include a sand pit, a great indoor playroom and a workshop where families can make crafts. Guests can also use the garden sauna, and the barbecue and seating area for al fresco dining. For those who prefer not to cook, the hosts can deliver breakfast hampers to the door. Best of all, apartment rates start FROM 75 Euros per night for a family of 4.
The German Farmhouse apartments are located in a small rural village about 1.5 hours from Hamburg airport and two hours from Berlin, and not too far from Schwerin in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, a beautiful destination to explore with the kids.
