The Swiss Mountain Apartment is a bright and very spacious (112m2) family-friendly rooftop apartment. It has 3 bedrooms (two doubles and one with 2 bunk beds) and en-suite 3 bathrooms, and offers stunning 360-degree panoramic views of an idyllic mountain village and the surrounding peaks. The flat has an open, modern and fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances that include an induction cooking plate, a dishwasher, an oven, a steamer and a Nespresso coffee machine. The flat’s interior and terrace are both furnished tastefully and elegantly.
The sunny terrace is equipped with a parasol, table and chairs. The bathrooms each have a rainforest shower and toilet. In the master bedroom you will also find a freestanding bathtub overlooking the valley. The apartment is also equipped with a washing machine, a dryer and an ironing board.
The apartment is a great example of sustainable mountain architecture. It uses a ventilation system with heat recovery, heat pumps and highly insulated building walls to create a warm, cosy atmosphere. There is an optimal natural light from morning to evening, with incomparable views to the nearby mountain village, the valley and the majestic peaks that surround the area. A bus stop and a local shop are only a few meters away from the property.
The location of the apartment is ideal for ski lovers, as it offers ski-in/ski-out. After a long day on the slopes, guests can ski all the way to the back of the property. There are about 120 km slopes of the Obersaxen ski area and other popular ski areas, such as are Flims-Laax, Brigels or Disentis, are fairly close as well (about a 20 to 30-minute drive away). The ski lifts are only 2 km away and can be easily reached by bus, bike and/or car. In addition, there are several winter and summer hiking routes around the area.
In the warmer months, there is a mountain lake (only 20 minutes away by foot – approx. 1km), where both adults and children will enjoy swimming in the fresh mountain water. Other mountain activities nearby include hiking, mountain biking, e-biking, geo-touring, rafting, paragliding, and golf. In spring and autumn, the Swiss Mountain Apartment is also the perfect spot for hiking, mountain biking, cultural activities and gastronomical experiences.

The Area
The apartment is located near a small mountain village in Val Lumnezia ("Valley of the Light"), in the state of Graubünden (south-eastern Switzerland). This valley is one of the most beautiful – though luckily still relatively undiscovered by tourists – valleys of the Swiss Alps. Due to the north-south positioning, the valley is known for its rather warm and sunny climate.
This area is part of the Romansh-speaking region of Switzerland (one of the 4 official Swiss languages), although the local population generally speaks German and even some English, French or Italian. The city of Chur is about a 40-minute drive away. Zurich can be reached in about 1 hour 20 minutes, and Basel within 2-hours.
